WOW WOW WOW! What an absolutely brilliant day our incredible Nix Academy dancers have had at the Bright Star Dance Festival which took place at Frensham Heights School over the last two weekends! We are bursting with pride watching our talented students take on some seriously competitive schools and come out absolutely flying!
Outstanding Group Performances
Having honed our craft at previous competitions, our group routines were really fantastic, with our dancers delivering their very best performances yet:
"Just Because I'm a Girl" stormed to 1st place with an absolutely electric performance that had everyone on their feet! The energy, precision, and sheer determination from our dancers was outstanding.
"Ice Cream Crazy" also claimed 1st place with a performance that was nothing short of spectacular! The smiles, the technique, and the pure joy radiating from our dancers was absolutely infectious.
"Secret Handshake" secured a brilliant 2nd place with an incredible 86 marks - what a fantastic achievement against such tough competition! The synchronisation and performance quality was absolutely top-notch.
"Lullaby" earned a stunning 2nd place with 87 marks - an absolutely beautiful routine that showcased the incredible emotional depth and technical skill of our dancers.
Solos and Duets Galore!
The individual performances were absolutely top notch, with our dancers securing numerous 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places across solos and duets! Every single performance showed incredible growth, confidence, and artistry.
Special mention goes to "My Sister's Keeper" which earned a fantastic 4th place, "She" with another brilliant 4th place, and "Jump!" which absolutely blew everyone away in what was described as a "massive, very competitive category" - this was definitely the best they've ever performed this routine!
Our Amazing Minis Are Stars in the Making!
And what an absolutely incredible job our mini dancers did! These little superstars are getting stronger and stronger with every single performance. Their technique is developing beautifully, and their performance quality is improving by leaps and bounds! Watching them hold their own against much more experienced schools was absolutely magical - we couldn't be prouder!
Holding Our Own Against the Best
Competing against very experienced and highly competitive schools, our Nix Academy dancers proved they absolutely belong at this level. The dedication, hard work, and pure talent on display was nothing short of extraordinary.
Every single dancer should be incredibly proud of their achievements. The growth, confidence, and sheer brilliance we witnessed was absolutely outstanding!
Well done to every single one of our amazing Nix Academy stars - you were absolutely phenomenal!
